Bio
I was born in 1962. I graduated in Management Engineering at the Politecnico in Milan.
In 1995 I decided to leave the company job and to become a photographer, moving from Milan to London.
After a year of building my portfolio, an English art director and fashion editor look at some pictures taken on the streets of New Delhi and introduce me to a designer who designs luxury clothes. My first job in the fashion world.
Since then I have lived in London, Milan and New York. I shot on all continents, making 345 services commissioned by different brands and magazines in the fashion field.
From 2004 to 2006 I taught History of Photography at the Como Textile Center.
In 2014 I founded Materia et Lumen, an independent publishing house dedicated to promoting true photography. Its mission, together with the definition of the term photography and articles on photographic ontology, is described on the materiaetlumen.org website.
In March 2015 I published the book The Photographer’s Choice.
I live in the United States with my wife and daughter.
